Gregg Please save a girl child by sponsoring her through your church or through a child sponsorship agency. Girls do not have a good chance of growing old. They are often sold into slavery as a sex slave or servant to the wealthy. A girl child might be sold into marriage as soon as she reaches puberty and can produce male children for her husband. Male children have value as they support their parents in old age, girl children do not. Girl children are considered a burden for their parents. When you sponsor a girl child please see that she gets as much education as she wants. Primary education is free in most countries. Here are two websites to help with scholarships to further their education: www.globaleducationfund.org is for high school scholarships and www.scholars4dev.com is for scholarships to United Kingdom universities.
